Accredited Lyme Courses for Doctors and Nurses

Accredited "live" continuing medical education courses for healthcare professionals are also available. Physician CME courses range from 1-hour offerings on a specific topic to multi-hour presentations covering details from the basic science and clinical evidence.

Similar courses are available for nurses, physician's assistants and chiropractors.

PHH will work with other professional healthcare organizations to create programs of interest for their members.

Please contact PHH if you are interested in scheduling a presentation.

MLA Medical Advisor, Dr. Elizabeth Maloney

Dr. Maloney attended medical school and completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Minnesota.  Her Lyme-related activities are extensive. She develops accredited CME courses on Lyme disease for physicians and other health professionals, provides training programs for private organizations and government agencies and speaks, by invitation, to medical staffs and legislative bodies.  Her lecture at Columbia University’s 2011 research conference on Lyme disease, “The treatment of Lyme disease – a critical review of the literature – lessons, gaps, and future research needs” provided a detailed look at the US treatment trials and tied that evidence to evidence emerging from the basic sciences.  Dr. Maloney has published on Lyme disease in peer-reviewed journals.
